KAMIKAZE SET-UP

This is the KAMIKAZE, our dedicated 4-batten Wave sail with an indestructible character! If you're new school cool, then this is 100% the sail for you! The KAMIKAZE is available in X-Ply in one colour combination. We have chosen to make use of a new material in the window of the sail for better vision. This is an extra wide and open X-Ply, adding the security of a 100% X-ply construction, a heavy-duty construction and a softer feel, but still offering clear vision and a crisp gust response. We also added an extra mini batten to the top panel to reduce leech flutter when overpowered.

DURABLE, LIGHT AND ERGONOMIC

We remain true to our mission statement to stay in the lead in innovation and produce very high quality products with a high performance level. The KAMIKAZE designs show lowered clew heights for a better ergonomic performance, and the continued use of lighter top and bottom battens, without compromising the stability in the sail.

THROW-AROUND PERSONA

When we first introduced KAMIKAZE into our range in 2017, the KRYPTONITE designs were obviously at the basis for this sail. With a dynamic leech and crisp gust response, the KAMIKAZE will without a doubt keep on delivering an engaging ride that will put you in the box seat!

KAMIKAZE has a more compact profile compared to KILLER and less built-in foil shape for a more “throw-around” persona. Added luff curve has seriously improved the sail's wind range and allows the front of the sail to fill up more. Recommended boom and mast lengths deliver a more compact sail than KILLER. Aramid Draft Lock clew stringers help to stabilize draft and provide a stronger more responsive clew. The use of our hi-tech tri-Axial 2 ply laminate in the top panels of the sail keeps the swing weight down.

KAMIKAZE VERSUS KILLER

When comparing KAMIKAZE and KILLER, the first is a better choice for sailors under 85 kilograms or for those who preferably sail in more stable, less gusty winds. For heavier riders, generally KILLER offers more power and more stability in gusty 'on/off' conditions.

The design of the KAMIKAZE has resulted in a light, strong, great performing and engaging ride, blending wave and freestyle sailing into a level that is out of this world, for insane wave sailing action!
