TRUE RACE DNA

Not a FreeRace sail pretending to be Race

APACHE-R works because it is a true Race sail from the start. It was built around locked profile stability, efficient low-end drive, controlled release and maximum forward speed under load. That makes it fundamentally different from FreeRace concepts. The feeling is more direct, more physical and more committed but also more precise.

For 2027, the profile balance and cam behaviour were tuned further so the sail stays calmer in the hands, rotates cleaner and keeps its speed more efficiently through gusts, lulls and gybes.

This is not Race styling. This is real Race performance.

The 2027 refinement is not about making APACHE-R less Race. It is about making full Race performance more polished where it counts.

The updated profile depth gives more efficient power. The refined cam behaviour improves rotation through gybes and transitions. The draft stays locked and stable when fully powered, but the sail feels more settled and more balanced in the hands.

No. APACHE-R is a full-blooded Race sail. It rewards technique, commitment and riders who want maximum performance.
Freeriders who want speed with easier handling should look at the OMAHA.

How does it compare to Omaha?

Choose APACHE-R for more low-end power, more race pressure and higher full-race performance potential.

What changed for 2027?

The 2027 APACHE-R went through multiple extra sample rounds focused on profile tuning, sail depth, cam rotation and overall race balance.
We also refreshed the visual identity, added a new 4.8 speed size and brought the 8.5 light-wind size back into the range.

Is the cam rotation difficult?

No. Cam rotation was one of the key tuning points for 2027.
APACHE-R remains a true race sail, but the rotation is smoother and more refined than before.

Is it physically demanding?

It is powerful, because it is a real race sail.
But the 2027 tuning makes the power delivery more controlled, with a more settled draft and smoother cam behaviour. That helps reduce fatigue compared to overly rigid race designs.

Why add a 4.8?

The 4.8 gives dedicated speed riders and high-wind racers a more compact control-oriented size for strong wind sessions, long-distance races and flat-water GPS sailing.

Why bring back the 8.5?

Because some riders still want a true light-wind race engine with maximum low-end drive and locked profile stability when the wind is marginal.
