For 2027, the luff curve has been tweaked to improve balance, reduce unnecessary downforce and create a lighter, cleaner feeling in flight. Cam rotation has also been refined for smoother transitions and more efficient exits through gybes.

TRUE FOIL PERFORMANCE

Not a fin Race sail adapted for Foil

APACHE-F works because it is built around foil dynamics from the start. Fin racing and foil racing ask completely different things from a sail. A fin race sail is mainly about horizontal drive, board pressure and waterline control. A foil race sail must manage vertical lift, flight height, apparent wind and board trim in a much more sensitive way.


For 2027, APACHE-F has been tuned around that balance. The refined luff curve reduces excess downforce, improves hand pressure and helps the board fly cleaner. The improved cam behaviour makes transitions smoother, while the locked foil-race profile keeps the sail efficient at speed.


This is not race styling with a foil label. This is real foil function.

The 2027 luff curve refinement plays an important role in the new APACHE-F feeling. It reduces unnecessary downforce and helps the sail sit lighter in the hands, while keeping the locked-in profile a foil race sail needs.


The improved cam rotation makes gybes and transitions smoother, especially when flight height and exit speed matter. You still get full foil-race stability, but with a more balanced, less physical feel during long heats.
